Reverend Eric I. Reaves, Sr., is a Florida native who was raised locally in Palmetto. He is the proud Senior Pastor of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Bradenton, Florida for 6 years. He has 13 years of experience in ministry as a Senior Pastor.
He is married to the lovely Sarah Reaves, and they are the blessed parents of five amazing children: Emmanuel, Eric Jr., Sarah, Caleb, and Joshua. Pastor Reaves was involved in ministry from an early age. Immediately after graduating from high school, he was dual-enrolled into Berean Bible College and Seminary and Manatee Community College to enrich his knowledge and to enhance his spiritual giftedness in ministry.
Pastor Reaves is co-vocational. He is a Pastor-Teacher and a Clinical Behavioral Health Therapist. Pastor Reaves has earned an Associate of Arts degree from State College of Florida, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of South Florida. A Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of South Florida. Pastor Reaves will further his education and ministry by pursuing a Doctorate degree in Biblical Studies. Beyond his love for family, passion for ministry, and pursuit of higher education, Rev. Reaves enjoys freshwater fishing and boating.
